Skill Fault
Hi,

Just as an FYI, the first batch of errata for 4th ed. D&D is out. You know how people where bitching about skill challenges and the like? Turns out the entire section was one big "oopsie!".

Fun stuff
Tom

I saw that they decreased the DCs. What else was changed regarding skill challenges? I only had a chance to glance at it quickly...

They dropped the skill DCs pretty hard. The other big change is that you used to need X successes and X/2 failures. Now you need X successes and 3 failures. That's it. 3 strikes and you're done.

I may be mis-remembering but you can now choose to participate in a challenge rather than be forced into it. Before you went around the table and everyone had to be in it, even if they didn't really have any germane skills. Now it seems like you can leave things to the experts.

sounds like an improvement. from what limited conversation I saw on messageboards it seems like statistically the old way was balls. I like the notion of it though...perhaps now I'll try one out in play.
